1. Accounts and Personal Information

The App does not require registration or sign-in. It does not collect names, contact details, precise location, contacts, photos, microphone content, or advertising identifiers. It contains no advertising, cross-app tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs.

2. Information Processed on Your Device

During a test, the App processes playback metrics such as video quality, network speed, and buffering, along with the device model, operating system version, storage, memory, and network type, on your device to display results and generate result images. The Apple TV version stores summaries of the three most recent tests and their corresponding Home Screen images locally. The iPhone version stores the three most recent complete test results and the device information recorded at the time locally; these are excluded from system backups. In both versions, older records are automatically replaced.

Diagnostic information is recorded locally for troubleshooting. Diagnostic files in the Apple TV version contain test, device, and network information and can be downloaded through a temporary page on your local network. The developer receives them only if you actively send them. The iPhone version keeps up to 300 diagnostic events in memory, clears them when the process ends, and does not automatically send them to the developer.

3. Network Connections and Third-Party Services

The App performs tests by connecting to public test streams provided by Apple. Apple handles the related network requests under its privacy policy.

To update the content displayed on the test results web page, the Apple TV version downloads web resources from the developer’s server. The iPhone version downloads link configuration for tutorials and this privacy policy. Neither version uploads test data, result images, or device reports. The server records necessary request information, such as IP addresses and access times, to operate the service, troubleshoot issues, and maintain security. This information is cleared according to the server’s log rotation rules and is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

4. Saving and Sharing

Result images are made available to phones on the same network through a temporary page hosted by the Apple TV on your local network. They do not pass through the developer’s server. The sharing link expires when you leave the results page, start another test, the App enters the background, or the network changes. Anyone with the full link can view the image, so do not share it with people you do not trust.

The iPhone version does not run a local network service for retrieving images. Result images are generated on your device. Saving an image only requests permission to add images to your photo library; the App does not read its contents. Sharing takes place through the system share sheet after you choose to share. Temporary sharing files are cleaned up by the system or the App. You manage any images you have saved or shared.

5. Data Retention, Deletion, and Your Choices

Temporary sharing data is cleared when you leave the results page, start another test, or the App enters the background. Uninstalling the App removes local test records and cached web resources. System logs are managed by the system. You are responsible for deleting images saved to your phone.

Product Overview Page Analytics

The product overview page uses this website’s own analytics service to count visits, estimate visitor numbers, and count clicks on download buttons. It records information such as IP addresses, device types, browsers, and referral sources solely to analyze website traffic. It does not read test results from the App or send data to third-party analytics platforms.

Analytics uses a random visitor cookie, which expires after 180 days and is renewed on each visit, and a browser session identifier. Clearing this website’s cookies resets the visitor identifier.
